Last week we started the Autumn season here in the United States. As I mentioned on an earlier blog this is my favorite time of the year. It is a great time to clean up your yard and prepare the for the winter time. Writing that blog made me curious enough about the season to go do some investigation to learn more about it. Depending on where you are Autumn is a time when the day light hours start to get shorter and winter is approaching. Often deciduous trees start to change color and to loose their leaves.
The school season also is known to start the school year, since they usually begin in early September. This was first established back in the time when the kids were needed during the summer season to work in the crops of the farm homesteads. In fall the crops were brought in and the children were no longer needed to help at home so they were able to attend school.
Autumn is also associated with the Halloween season and with it a widespread marketing campaign that promotes it, in the U.S.A. We even have our own Halloween products that you can view, the Halloween Hotsheet has lots of fun ideas and if you sign up you will receive a free Halloween ebook, banner and graphics. If you are looking for a special Halloween treat that does not have all the sugar we have the personalized Halloween letter packages. These come with a personalized letter, toy, pencil and lots of other Halloween goodies. The television, film, book, costume, home decoration, and confectionery industries use this time of year to promote products closely associated with such a holiday, with promotions going from early September to 31 October, since their themes rapidly lose strength once the holiday ends, and advertising starts concentrating on Christmas.
Another beginning that happens in the Autumn is the beginning of the football season. The regular season begins during September and ends with playoff competition in December or January, in the winter season. A normal activity for high schools in the US is attending Friday night football games in Autumn, while Sunday afternoons are reserved for the professional game, particularly the NFL and Saturdays are traditionally used for college football. The sport is generally geared around fall weather and playing in cold elements. Looking for a unique NFL personalized sports print? Here is a great item to you.
Television stations and networks also traditionally begin their regular seasons in autumn, with new series and new episodes of existing series debuting mostly during late September.
I hope you have a great Autumn and enter into the winter months happy and healthy.
